About the club & contacts
Habitat for Humanity members:
There will NOT be a Build Day this Saturday. The house is completed! I am so sorry if you were not able to work this year. We will try to have a build day in the fall.
The dedication of the house is Sunday May 3rd at 2:00 pm. We would like all of you to come and bring your parents to show them what you have done! The house is really beautiful and so many of you put in so much work to raise the money for the house and to build it! It is so nice for our homeowner when lots of students come to the dedication. If you would like to come, but don’t have transportation, please let us know and we will try to find some parents to help with that.
Directions to the house located at 115 Kerwood Court in Austell. Take I-75- to I-285 toward the airport. Take I-20 to the Six Flags Parkway exit and take a right at the end of the airport. Go through a 4 way stop. Go about a quarter of a mile and take a left on Hillcrest Drive. Go another quarter of a mile and turn right onto Satterlee Woods Drive then right onto Kerwood Court.

Pope Habitat for Humanity, a campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity International, is a club at Alan C. Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia, with membership of over 300 students. The club goal for the year will be to raise $10,000 in order to sponsor and build a Habitat home in the spring of 2009 with a family who needs housing and meets all requirements. Our club has already built 10 houses for Cobb Habitat, our local affiliate which is now NW Metro Atlanta Habitat. We will begin construction on our 11th house in February 2009 as a part of a coalition of Cobb County High Schools Habitat for Humanity Chapters.
We welcome parents to come help. It is quite amazing to see these students actually build a house!
Check back often for updates.
